Who would pay
A lady had a pet dog. One day she went to visit her friend. She locked the dog home. When she came back, she found that there was something wrong with the dog. It seemed that there was something in the dog's throat. The dog tried hard to spit it out. And it had a breathing problem.
The lady drove the dog to a vet at once. The vet checked the dog. He said he had to cut the dog's throat open. He had to use a pipe to help the dog breathe. He suggested the lady leave the dog there, for she could not bear seeing the operation.
The lady left the vet's. She got home. She unlocked the door. Just at that moment, the telephone rang. It was the vet. He asked her to leave the house at once. He also asked her to go to the neighbour's home and call police.
The vet had cut open the dog's throat. He had taken out three fingers of a human being.
Policemen came to the house. They found some bloodstain on the floor. A police dog tracked the bloodstain and smell. They caught a burglar in the house. The burglar was hiding in a cabinet. He was suffering great pain.
The police called 120 for an ambulance. The burglar was sent to a hospital. The vet sent the three fingers to the hospital. The vet was a very careful man. He had put the fingers in a box with some ice.
In the hospital, surgeons gave the burglar an operation. They replanted the three fingers back to the hand. The burglar had to stay in the hospital for somedays. Two policemen had to keep guard at the door, in case the burglar would run away. When he was well again, the burglar would have to stay in jail for sometime.
The burglar was poor. He did not have medical insurance. He did not have money to pay his operation. He did not have money to pay the medical care and medicine. The operation cost much money. The medical care and medicine cost much money. The lady,as the mistress of the dog,had to pay the money. Fortunately, the lady had bought an insurance for the dog. The insurance company paid most of the money. THE END
