Cow's in the house
My name is Maggie. I live on a farm. When I woke up this morning, I screamed in alarm! There were cows in my house. All over the place! My house is quite small. I had run out of space there were cows in my kitchen. cows on my chair. cows in my tub. cows on my stairs. cows reading my books and watching TV . cows gobbling up cookies and drinking down tea. there were cows in my closet. I didn't want to be rude, but the cows couldn't stay......... and they couldn't be shooed! so I made an announcement . “you cows have to go!” Do you think the cows listened. the answer i ...no! I tried again and painted a sign: hey in the barn! not one cow got in line. things got much worse. there were more cows at my door. cows everywhere are hard to Ignore. the cows played all morning. At noon, they cooked soup. they got ready for bed. then they all peed and pooped. one cow took a poll. he asked, “who loves it here?” A sea of raised hooves confirmed my greatest fear. I had a house full of cows. what was I going to do? how could I get them to go? I hadn't a clue! then an idea hit me. the plan was forming in my head. it would take a lot of work tonight I wouldn't see my Bed. I scrambled off the roof. I hitched my wagon to my bike. I rode straight to the store thinking what those cows might like . I filled the biggest cart...... With blankets, towels, and sheets. books and games and toys. clothes and hats and treats. back home I got to work. I built table, bunks, and chairs. A special bathroom in the barn. then I added sturdy stairs. I made beds and stocked the pantry. I worked right through the night. Plumping pillows...filling vases..... till each room was just right. Aha, the time had come to ask. I woke them up and said, “surprise!” when those cows saw the barn, they couldn't believe their eyes. “this is yours,” I told the cows. Then said, “I should have known. the one thing you all wanted a cozy place to call your own.” the cows whooped and danced with joy. they pulled me in for a hug. it was warm and tight and hairy. kind of fragrant. And very snug! I left those cows content . it had been a long, long night. though it hadn't started well, everything turned out all right. Oh~ it was morning on the farm. I heard horses, pigs, and sheep. who knows what they wanted? not me.... I fell asleep!
