【1】Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a man named Jorkens who loved to tell stories. One day, he shared a tale with his friends at the club about a time he visited a tropical island. He was tired of the sea and decided to explore the land. He went into a local tavern and met a man with a black mustache who seemed to have interesting stories to tell.

【2】Jorkens offered the man a glass of wine, and as they drank, the man began to talk about his country's dream to rule the Caribbean. He said that their country was small, but they had a very smart scientist named Silvary Carasierra who was working on a very special invention. This invention was so powerful that it could change the world.

【3】The man told Jorkens that their Minister of Warfare was not very smart and didn't understand modern science. They had to get rid of him to make their dreams come true. The scientist, Carasierra, was working on a new kind of germ that could destroy whole nations. But then, Carasierra had a new idea and left his work to make something else.

【4】Jorkens asked what Carasierra was making now. The man said that Carasierra had made a blade of grass. Jorkens was confused and asked why that was so special. The man explained that the blade of grass was artificial but looked and felt like a real one. It was a wonder of science.

【5】Jorkens thought it was amazing, but he also thought that ruling the Caribbean was more important. The man laughed and said that making a blade of grass was even more wonderful than ruling the world. He wanted to make flowers next.

【6】Jorkens was amazed by the story and the wine, but then the man became quiet, thinking about the chance his country had lost. Jorkens finished his story and left the man to his thoughts.
