6. Rubeus Hagrid

Rubeus Hagrid is the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts and plays a crucial role in introducing Harry to the magical world. Hagrid is a half-giant, large in stature, with a rough exterior but a very kind heart. He personally delivers Harry's acceptance letter to Hogwarts on his 11th birthday and takes him to Diagon Alley to buy his school supplies. Hagrid has a deep affection for magical creatures, often getting into trouble due to this love. Despite his clumsiness in magic, Hagrid shows great bravery and loyalty to Harry and his friends. His character symbolizes protection of the weak and unconditional support for friends.

 

7. Harry Potter

Harry Potter is the protagonist of the story. His parents were killed by Voldemort when he was a baby, but Harry miraculously survived, leaving a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. Harry grows up with the Dursleys, enduring neglect and abuse until his 11th birthday when he learns he is a wizard and is accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At Hogwarts, Harry makes many friends, especially Ron and Hermione, and begins his magical education. He gradually learns about his past and destiny, showing extraordinary courage and determination. Harry's journey is not only one of magical adventures but also one of friendship, bravery, and self-discovery.

 

8. Draco Malfoy

Draco Malfoy is a student in Slytherin House, coming from a wealthy pure-blood wizard family. He is arrogant, condescending, and enjoys bullying others, particularly Harry and his friends. Draco harbors prejudice against Muggle-borns and half-bloods, often using this as a means to belittle others. Despite his antagonistic behavior at Hogwarts, Draco's actions and attitudes are heavily influenced by his family's background and his parents' teachings. As the series progresses, Draco's character becomes more complex, revealing his struggles between family pressure and his own moral compass. Draco represents the entrenched pure-blood ideology in the wizarding world, but also the vulnerability and complexity of a young boy facing difficult choices.

 

9. Ron Weasley

Ron Weasley is one of Harry's best friends at Hogwarts, coming from a pure-blood wizard family with modest means. Ron is loyal, brave, and has a good sense of humor, although he sometimes lacks self-confidence. Throughout his time at Hogwarts, Ron, along with Harry and Hermione, forms a strong bond and goes on numerous adventures. Ron's loyalty and courage make him an essential support for Harry. At home, Ron is one of seven children and often feels overshadowed by his older brothers, but he proves his unique worth and talents among his friends. Ron's journey is one of courage, friendship, and self-discovery.

 

10. Hermione Granger

Hermione Granger is one of Harry's closest friends, a Muggle-born witch known for her intelligence, diligence, and strong magical abilities. Hermione excels academically, achieving top marks in nearly every subject. Her knowledge and quick thinking help Harry and Ron in many critical situations. Initially, her seriousness and strict adherence to rules make her somewhat unpopular, but her bravery and loyalty soon earn her the respect and affection of her friends. During her time at Hogwarts, Hermione is not only an academic achiever but also demonstrates courage and ingenuity in their adventures. Her character represents the power of knowledge and the importance of true friendship.
