A Special Spring Festival

It was my first Spring Festival in the UK, and I wanted to make it special for my British friend, Emilia. Emilia is a nice girl who sometimes cooks for me, so I wanted to treat her to a Chinese dinner.

But there was one problem: I had never cooked before! I often watched my Grandma cook, but I never tried it myself. It was midnight in China, and my family was making dumplings. So, I called them for help. With their guidance over the phone, I became a chef in just one hour! I even made some cucumber flowers.

While Emilia hung balloons and lanterns in the dining room, I finished the last dish and put it on the table. "This is the lion's head!" I announced proudly.

Emilia looked shocked. "Are you joking? Isn't that against the law?" she asked.

I laughed. "It's a pork meatball. My family always has it at the Spring Festival. Its round shape stands for family reunions. Try it!"

Emilia cut a piece with her knife and put it in her mouth. "I love it!" she said. The smell of the dishes and our laughter filled the room. I felt like I was back home.

特别的春节

这是我在英国的第一个春节，我想让我的英国朋友艾米莉亚感受到节日的特别之处。艾米莉亚是个很好的人，她有时候会为我做饭，所以我想请她吃一顿中餐。

但有一个问题：我从来没有做过饭！我经常看奶奶做饭，但从未自己尝试过。此时中国已经是午夜，我的家人在包饺子。所以，我打电话向他们求助。在家人的电话指导下，我在一个小时内成了一名厨师！我甚至还做了一些黄瓜花。

当艾米莉亚在餐厅挂气球和灯笼时，我完成了最后一道菜，并把它放在桌子上。“这是狮子头！”我自豪地宣布。

艾米莉亚看起来很震惊。“你在开玩笑吗？那不是违法的吗？”她问。

我笑了。“这是猪肉丸子。我们家在春节时总是吃它。它的圆形象征着家庭团聚。尝尝看！”

艾米莉亚用刀切了一块放进嘴里。“我喜欢！”她说。菜肴的香气和我们的笑声充满了整个房间。我感觉像回到了家。
