The Fox and the Grapes
Once upon a time, there was a fox who loved to eat. One day, he was strolling through the woods searching for food. He found a grape orchard filled with beautiful, ripe grapes hanging from high branches. The fox felt very hungry and was eager to eat the delicious grapes. Excitedly, he leaped high into the air, hoping to catch the grapes. But the grapes hung higher than the fox could reach. He tried again and again, but just couldn't get high enough to grab the grapes. Feeling exhausted and disappointed, the fox finally gave up and walked away slowly. As he walked away, he muttered to himself, "I am sure those grapes were probably sour." Moral of the story: It is easy to scorn what we cannot get. Instead, we should learn to accept our limitations and move on with grace. |
