LESSON TWENTY-THREE Who would pay
A 1.A lady had a pet dog. 2.One day she went to visit her friend. 3.She locked the dog home. 4.When she came back, 5.she found that there was something wrong with the dog. 6.It seemed that there was something in the dog's throat. 7.The dog tried hard to spit it out. 8.And it had a breathing problem. 9.The lady drove the dog to a vet at once. 10.The vet checked the dog. 11.He said he had to cut the dog's throat open. 12.He had to use a pipe to help the dog breathe. 13.He suggested the lady leave the dog there, 14.for she could not bear seeing the operation. B 1.The lady left the vet's. 2.She got home. 3.She unlocked the door. 4.Just at that moment, the telephone rang. 5.It was the vet. 6.He asked her to leave the house at once. 7.He also asked her to go to the neighbor's home and call police. 8.The vet had cut open the dog's throat. 9.He had taken out three fingers of a human being. 10.Policemen came to the house. 11.They found some bloodstain on the floor. 12A police dog tracked the bloodstain and smell. 13.They caught a burglar in the house. 14.The burglar was hiding in a cabinet. 15.He was suffering great pain. C 1.The police called 120 for an ambulance. 2.The burglar was sent to a hospital. 3.The vet sent the three fingers to the hospital. 4.The vet was a very careful man. 5.He had put the fingers in a box with some ice. 6.In the hospital, surgeons gave the burglar an operation. 7.They replanted the three fingers back to the hand. 8.The burglar had to stay in the hospital for someday. 9.Two policemen had to keep guard at the door, in case the burglar would run away. 10.When he was well again, the burglar would have to stay in jail for sometime. 11.The burglar was poor. 12.He did not have medical insurance. 13.He did not have money to pay his operation. 14.He did not have money to pay the medical care and medicine. 15.The operation cost much money. 16.The medical care and medicine cost much money. 17.The lady, as the mistress of the dog, had to pay the money. 18.Fortunately, the lady had bought an insurance for the dog. 19.The insurance company paid most of the money. 谁付钱
A 1.一位女士有一条宠物狗. 2.一天,她去拜访朋友 3.她把狗锁在家里 4.回来的时候 5.他发现狗有些问题 6.好像狗的喉咙里有东西 7.狗努力的试着把东西吐出来 8.并且狗的呼吸,有了困难 9.女士立刻开车带着狗去看宠物医生 10.宠物医生给狗做了检查 11.他说他在割开狗的喉咙 12.他在用一个管子帮助狗来呼吸 13.他建议女士把狗留在那里 14.因为看那样的手术她是受不了的。
B 1.女士离开了宠物诊所 2.她回到了家 3.她开开门锁 4.正在这时,电话响了 5.是那位宠物医生 6.他要求她立刻离开房间 7.他还让她到邻居家打电话叫警察 8.宠物医生割开了狗的喉咙 9.他取出了人的三根手指头 10.警察来到女士的家 11.他们在地上发现了一些血迹 12.警犬随着血迹和气味追踪 13.他们在房间里抓到了一个窃贼 14.窃贼藏在一个橱子里 15.他正忍着巨大的疼痛
C 1.警察打了120.叫来了救护车 2.窃贼被送往了医院 3.宠物医生把那三根手指头送到了医院 4.宠物医生是个很细心的人 5.他把那三根手指头同冰一起放在了一个小盒子里面 6.在医院外科医生给窃贼做了手术 7.他们重新把这三根手指头接到了那个人的手上 8.窃贼要在医院里待上一些天 9.两个警察还要在门口站岗以免窃贼跑掉 10.当他好了以后这个窃贼还要在监狱里待上一些日子 11.窃贼很穷 12.他也没有医疗保险 13.他没有钱支付手术的费用 14.他没在钱支付医疗和药的费用 15.手术花了很多钱 16.医疗和药物花了很多的钱 17.那位女士作为狗的主人不得不支付这些钱 18.幸运的是女士为狗买了保险 19.保险公司支付了大部分的钱 |
