练习1:听录音跟读或抢读直到可以朗读(注意不要强求一次会读,多次多天练习达到自然会读) Chapter 01 The Boy Who Lived A 1,Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, 2,were proud to say 3,that they were perfectly normal, 4,thank you very much. 5,They were the last people you'd expect 6,to be involved in 7,anything strange or mysterious, 8,because they just didn't hold with such nonsense. B 1,Mr. Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings, 2,which made drills. 3,He was a big, beefy man 4,with hardly any neck, 5,although he did have a very large mustache. 6,Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde 7,and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, 8,which came in very useful 9,as she spent so much of her time 10,craning over garden fences, 11,spying on the neighbors. 12,The Dursleys had a small son called Dudley 13,and in their opinion 14,there was no finer boy anywhere. C 1,The Dursleys had everything they wanted, 2,but they also had a secret, 3,and their greatest fear was 4,that somebody would discover it. 5,They didn't think they could bear it 6,if anyone found out about the Potters. 7,Mrs. Potter was Mrs. Dursley's sister, 8,but they hadn't met for several years; 9,in fact, Mrs. Dursley pretended 10,she didn't have a sister, 11,because her sister and her good-for-nothing husband 12,were as unDursleyish 13,as it was possible to be. 14,The Dursleys shuddered to think 15,what the neighbors would say 16,if the Potters arrived in the street. 17,The Dursleys knew 18,that the Potters had a small son, too, 19,but they had never even seen him. 20,This boy was another good reason 21,for keeping the Potters away; 22,they didn't want Dudley 23,mixing with a child like that.
