1、Three hours later, we got on the ship which was Portuguese. 

2、The captain listened to my story and he was very interested. 

3、He was sailing for Brazil and was very glad to help me. 

4、Three weeks later, we got to Brazil. 

5、The captain was very kind and generous. 

6、He did not charge me for the journey. 

7、Instead,he bought my boat and Xury so that I had money to settle in Brazil. 

8、He promised to give Xury freedom in ten years' time. 

9、Now I had 224 Spanish silver coins.

1、The captain was now my good and helpful friend. 

2、He introduced a plantation owner to me, from whom I learned a lot about plantations. 

3、Then I asked the captain's widow in London to mail my money to Brazil. 

4、With the money I bought some land and started a plantation. 

5、I worked hard for four years and earned a lot of money. 

6、Now I could live a comfortable life.

1、I had many friends and I often talked about my adventurous experiences in Africa with them. 

2、My story made my friends excited. 

3、One day some of them suggested we go to Guinea to get some Africans to work in the plantations in Brazil. 

4、Now I was bored with the quiet life and I decided to go with them.
