Rock music meets the erhu

Rock music is blaring from my computer speakers. As an avid rock music enthusiast, I play the electric guitar as a member of my school band. Occasionally, I indulge in songwriting, sharing my compositions online. Music brings me immense joy and fulfillment.

Just now, amidst the rock melodies, the soulful strains of Grandpa's erhu begin to resonate. Music is also a cherished hobby for him, albeit of a different genre. He enjoys playing the erhu in the park with his friends, often performing traditional Beijing opera pieces. Their performances have garnered a dedicated following of admirers.

A sudden idea strikes me: "Why not blend our musical styles together? I could write a song that incorporates both."

"Grandpa!" I exclaim as I rush into his room...

Every autumn, our school hosts an art festival. This year, I make the decision to participate alongside Grandpa. After a week of dedicated practice, we find ourselves on stage. I exchange a nod with Grandpa as we begin to play our instruments. The audience responds enthusiastically, moving in rhythm with our music.

Grandpa beams at me, and I can't help but smile back. It's an incredible feeling to share our passion for music together.
