WITHIN A PLANT

It's 7:15 PM. Here comes Worker No. 55, dressed in his green uniform, ready to begin his shift at the factory.

He works at Workshop 1001 in the Plant Leaf. Each workshop houses between 20 to 100 workers. Their task during the day is to absorb sunlight and CO2. Meanwhile, workers in the Root send water upwards through the Stem to the Leaf. Once in the Leaf, workers combine water, CO2, and sunlight.

What's their main product? Most importantly for them, it's sugar! This is crucial for the plant's growth. Another byproduct is oxygen, though the plant doesn't require much of it. However, it's vital for animals and humans, who need it for breathing.

The workers labor diligently. As night falls, they will rest.

Earth hosts millions of plants. They provide more than just food and oxygen. Without plants, the natural world would be drastically different!
