Rock music meets the erhu

Rock music blares from my computer speakers. As an avid rock music enthusiast, I wield the electric guitar in my school band and occasionally craft original songs shared online. Music is my passion and source of endless enjoyment.

Interrupting this sonic landscape, the haunting strains of Grandpa's erhu drift through the house. Music is his passion too, albeit of a different genre. He enjoys playing the erhu with his friends in the park, often performing Beijing opera to an adoring audience.

A sudden inspiration strikes me: "Why not blend our musical worlds? I could write a song that merges our styles."

"Grandpa!" I burst into his room...

Every autumn, our school hosts an art festival. This year, I decide to showcase our combined talents with Grandpa. After a week of intense rehearsals, we take to the stage. I exchange a nod with Grandpa before launching into our performance. The audience responds enthusiastically, swaying to our eclectic mix of rock and traditional Chinese music.

Grandpa beams at me, and I return his smile. Sharing this hobby with him fills me with immense satisfaction.
