《巧克力女王》

My mommy always says that she is the chocolate queen,

born with a special chocolate gene.

Mommy keeps the chocolate all for herself,

way up high on the top shelf.

Early in the morning, I climb up to reach,

leaning just so on my tiptoes and feet.

As I take a scrumptious bite, mommy is standing off to my right.

Now that I discovered her secret space,

Mommy tickles me and says, "You found my hiding place!"

In the afternoon, at Grandma's house, there is always one bar.

But like magic, mommy spots it from afar.

"Where did the chocolate go?" Grandma asks.

My brother and I are taken to task.

After a few minutes, mommy comes clean,

laughing, and explains, "It's just my chocolate gene."

At lightning speed, I run downstairs.

I think I'll find some chocolate there.

I'm hungry, mommy.

I need something to eat.

A little piece of chocolate,

and I promise,I'll go straight to sleep.

Mommy smiles and shakes her head with a little glee.

"I love you, darling," she says, "you're a lot like me."
