THE CROW WHO WAS TRICKED
1.Once upon a time, a crow stole a piece of meat from a farmer's kitchen and flew away. 2."That damned thief crow!" The farmer's wife chased her, but she could not catch her. 3.The crow landed on a tree with the meat still in her mouth. 4."Now I can have a rest and enjoy the meat." She thought. 5.Just then, a fox came. 6.He saw the crow and the meat. 7."I must find a way to get the meat." The fox thought. 8.He wanted to eat the meat very much and his mouth was watering. 9.He spoke gently to her "Aunt crow, your feathers are very beautiful." 10.The crow was very glad to hear that, 11.and she flapped her wings proudly. 12."And your voice must be more beautiful. 13.Would you please sing a song for me?" 14.The crow was so glad that she forgot about the meat. 15.She opened her mouth and began to sing. 16."wa, wa." As she opened her mouth, the meat fell to the ground. 17."Aunt crow, I praised you just in order to get the meat." 18."good-bye!" said the fox and he ran away with the meat in his mouth. THE END |
