Beware of Dog!
Sam entered the little country store.
He noticed a sign on the glass door.
The sign said, Beware of Dog!
He saw a harmless old dog beside the money drawer.
The dog was sleeping on the floor.
He asked the store manager if he was supposed to beware of that dog。
The manager said yes.
Sam laughed.
He asked why they posted that kind of sign.
The dog was not dangerous at all.
The owner told him why.
People kept tripping over the dog. |
